Sarah is an eleven year old girl. She is the fifth born in a family of six children. She used to live with the mother who is a peasant farmer. She lost her father at the age of two after falling sick for some time. Sarah was left with her mum who is sickly and is unable to provide for her needs sufficiently. While at home, Sarah would wash plates, fetch water, clean the house and compound. Sometimes her mother`s frequent illness worried her that she began wondering what life would become without her mother.
This led her to be taken on by Berakhah Child Care. She is now happy because of the new family that she has got knowing that there are other children who have under gone what she went through but have their confidence in God that He is the father to the fatherless. She likes singing and dancing with her friends because it helps her forget her worries. She is in primary four and hopes to become a police officer.
