Phiona is thirteen years old in primary six. She lives with her parents and five siblings – two girls and three boys. She is the third born. The parents are peasant farmers who grow beans, cassava and sometimes tomatoes to help support the family.
While at home, she helps with house chores like washing plates, cleaning around the home and digging to help in meeting the family needs.
