Elizabeth is 6 years old and she's in grade one, she lives with her aged grandmother who is a peasant farmer. Her parents could not take care of the big family they have so they decided to give her out to her grandmother. The grandmother is very old and she can no longer do too much to help Christine instead she only does what she can which is always not enough. Christine's grandmother cannot raise school fees for Christine and other 6 grandchildren under her care she therefore pays only when she can because even feeding is a problem to her. The garden produces too little and the family is big. Christine would like to be a chef when she grows up, she likes dancing and at Berakha children's church Christine is in choir.
