AGE: 16 YEARS
Jenifer lived with both parents who are peasant farmers and sometimes make bricks but were challenged with providing all the basic needs for their children. She is the second born in a family of seven children, three girls and four boys. Jenifer had to work hard to get all requirements as a girl child in a community where most girls are married off at an early stage as a source of income for the family. She helped her parents with digging, cooking, washing plates, cleaning the compound, collecting firewood for people, working in peoples` gardens to get food and other basic requirements needed at home and school.
Because of the high risk of her dropping out of school at an early stage, she was brought to Berakhah Child Care. Jenifer participates in dancing and singing. During her free time, she likes playing netball with her friends. She is now excited about her newly discovered talents and gifts. She is in Primary Seven and can now expresses herself freely as she looks forward to a bright future as a medical Doctor.
