Wilson, a spirited 5-year-old boy in middle class at kindergarten, lives with his mother and siblings after his parents separated, leaving his mother as the primary caretaker. Despite her dedication, Wilson's mother faces considerable challenges in providing for the family's basic needs and paying school dues due to the limited resources she earns from peasant farming. She has supplemented her income with a petty business, but the earnings are unpredictable and insufficient to fully meet their needs.
