Esther is a 9-year-old girl in Primary Two, living in Uganda with her mother and siblings. Her father passed away when she was just 1 years old, leaving her mother to care for the family alone. Esther's mother works hard as a peasant farmer, struggling to provide for her children. Esther is the third-born in a family of four children.
Despite the challenges, she helps her mother with housework and takes care of her younger siblings. In her free time, Esther loves to skip rope and play with her friends.
Esther has a big dream of becoming a medical nurse when she grows up so she can help others.
