Prosy, a 9-year-old in the fourth grade, lives with her mother, who works as both a tailor and a peasant farmer. Her father, employed as a mason in a distant town, visits from time to time. Although her parents work tirelessly, they often find it challenging to meet the household’s basic needs, fund her education, and manage the special medical attention required to treat her recurring headaches from a past head surgery. Despite these difficulties, Prosy excels in school and dreams of becoming a medical nurse to help her family and serve her community.
