Despite his enthusiasm for learning, Shafik's family faces significant financial challenges. His parents struggle to cover school fees and provide basic necessities for their family, including quality education for their school-going children. Their reliance on peasantry farming, which often yields unpredictable results due to bad weather, exacerbates these difficulties. However, Shafik's good health remains a source of relief and joy for his family amidst their hardships.
