Joseph, a 15-year-old seventh grader, was raised by his single father after his parents separated, never experiencing his mother’s love. Despite his father’s efforts to provide for him and his siblings, the lack of income and his addiction to alcohol made survival challenging. Joseph took on responsibilities like collecting water, washing utensils, cleaning, and cooking to help his family. However, inconsistent income and unpredictable harvests exacerbated their struggles, leaving basic needs unmet.
Joseph's life has taken a brighter turn at Berakhah Childcare, where he has found happiness and hope. He has made new friends, enjoys playing soccer, and is learning to operate cameras. His participation in Christian fellowships and the children’s choir has brought comfort and positivity to his life. With his good academic performance and renewed sense of purpose, Joseph dreams of becoming a medical doctor to make a difference in his community.
