WANADWADI JOSEPH

Birthay: 12 February, 2010

Gender: Male

Nationality: Ugandan

Joseph is 15 years old. He is the eldest of five children. Life became very hard since their mother left them, before she left, their father would often come home drunk, beating their mother and neglecting them. Many times, he didn’t provide food, medicine, or school fees. After she ran away, things got even worse. Their father would disappear for days, leaving them with no food or care. As the oldest, he had to take care of his younger brothers. They begged for food around the neighborhood, but it wasn’t enough. They became weak and sick, and jiggers painfully infested their hands, feet, and elbows. Their house was falling apart, with holes in the walls that let in rain, soaking their beddings. When Berakhah learnt about their plight, it rescued them and brought them to a safe place, gave them food, medicine, clothes, and sent them to school. Joseph is now safe, cared for, and full of hope. He loves reading, listening to music, playing football, and his favorite meal is rice and chicken. His dream is to become a doctor.
