Emma is 11 years in grade 3 living with both parents and 11 siblings. Emma is a very active boy in all things both at home, church and school, his performance in school is good and Emma would like to become a doctor when he grows up, his parents are both peasant farmers and to supplement on their incomes his mother sells milk that she gets from the one cow at home and his father hawks dried fish in the community. The low income earned has affected the well being of the children because they can't afford quality education, having good meals is impossible etc. Emma's parents try to involve children in their work like Emma in the morning he has to sell milk to the neighbors before going to school because at that time the mother has already gone to the garden, some times he will report to school late when some lessons have gone. Emma still has hope that one day he will be a doctor though his parent's income has not changed.
