Allan is a 13-year-old fourth grader who lives with his peasant farmer parents. They work tirelessly to cater to the basic needs of their large family of ten, as well as to pay the school fees for their children. Due to the limited resources generated by small-scale farming often compounded by unpredictable weather and other challenges Allan’s parents are forced to take on casual labor jobs to meet the family's daily expenses. Despite these financial struggles, Allan remains determined and aspires to become a lawyer one day, so that he can support both his family and his community.
