Meet Esili – A Brave Boy with Big Dreams
Esili is a 12-year-old Girl, in Primary Four. When he was just 9 months old, both of her parents separated and left her in the care of his grandmother. Since then, she has never seen them again, and no one knows where they are.
Esili now lives with her elderly grandmother in a small village. She is a peasant farmer who works very hard every day to grow food and take care of him. But life is very difficult. They struggle to find enough to eat, and sometimes they go without the basic things they need.
To make things harder, Esili has a stomach health problem that has never been treated, simply because they can’t afford medical care. Even with his pain, she helps her grandmother with chores at home and in the garden. She is a kind, responsible boy who wants to make life easier for his grandmother.
Despite all these challenges, Esili is full of hope. She loves playing football and always has a smile when she’s on the field. She dreams of becoming a police officer one day so he can protect others and make her community a better place.
Esili needs support to stay in school, get medical care, and have a chance at a brighter future. With a sponsor’s help, this brave little boy can grow into the hero he dreams of being.
