Yeku is an 8-year-old second-grade student who excels academically and dreams of becoming a teacher. He lives with his devoted peasant farmer parents, who are constantly challenged by limited income. This financial strain makes it hard for them to cover both the basic necessities of the family and the school fees for their children. As a result, Yeku sometimes misses school when fees go unpaid, and he struggles to obtain the proper medication he needs. Nevertheless, his father’s relentless efforts to support their household underscore the family’s perseverance in the face of hardship.
