Meet Jesca, a bright 7-year-old girl in primary one. She is a twin, with her sister Tolitah, and they are the youngest of three children raised by their grandparents in Uganda. Their grandparents, who are getting older, struggle every day to make sure the family has enough to live on. Their grandfather, who was the main provider, was in an accident and can no longer work, making life even harder for the family.
Despite all the challenges, Jesca is a helpful and caring child. She does her best to assist with household chores and always looks out for her family. When she has some free time, she loves playing dodgeball with her friends, bringing joy to her day.
Jesca has big dreams of becoming a nurse. She wants to help people in her community, just like the nurses who take care of the sick and needy.
