The family faces financial hardships that make it difficult to provide all the essentials. Gladys endures recurring bouts of cough and other concerning episodes that hint at health issues which haven’t received proper treatment. Nevertheless, Gladys holds onto her aspiration of one day becoming a medical doctor.
