Rosemary, a resilient 16-year-old Form One student, lives with her single mother, a peasant farmer, after her father abandoned the family to remarry. Due to financial hardships, she faces frequent disruptions in her education, often being sent home because of unpaid school fees while longing to stay in school like her peers. In addition to these struggles, Rosemary experiences persistent nosebleeds and stomachaches but has been unable to access proper medical care due to her family's limited resources. Despite these challenges, her determination to continue her education and build a brighter future remains strong.
