Desire, a 10-year-old girl in third grade, lives with her paternal grandmother, who is a peasant farmer. Financial constraints from limited farming income make it difficult to meet the family’s basic needs and provide for Desire’s education. Despite these challenges, Desire remains determined to pursue her dream of becoming a medical doctor and making a difference.
