Jovia is an 11-year-old twin in fourth grader living in a family of nine with her peasant farmer parents. Despite their tireless efforts to afford both basic needs and her education, their unstable farming income hampered by adverse weather and pests often results in unpaid school fees. Consequently, Jovia is frequently sent home from school, jeopardizing her bright dream of one day becoming a medical doctor to support her family and community.
