Vanesa is a 9-year-old third grader who now lives with her maternal aunt following her parents' separation. Due to limited resources from peasantry farming, her mother couldn't support all her children, and her aunt also struggling financially from unpredictable crop yields is unable to consistently cover both basic needs and school fees. As a result, Vanesa often misses school, which endangers her dream of becoming a medical doctor. To compound her challenges, she suffers from yellow fever and has not received proper treatment, leaving her health and future prospects in jeopardy.
