Gorret, a determined 10-year-old in third grade, lives with her peasant farmer parents, who struggle financially due to unpredictable weather that affects their harvests. Their limited resources make it difficult to provide for both basic needs and quality education. On top of these challenges, Gorret suffers from a painful heart condition, but her parents cannot afford proper medical diagnosis or treatment. Despite her hardships, she excels in class, showcasing her resilience and dedication to learning.
