Eddy, a four-year-old boy in top class kindergarten, excels academically and dreams of becoming a medical doctor. He currently lives with his paternal grandmother after his mother abandoned him following a fallout with his father. Despite Eddy’s father supporting him financially, both his father and grandmother face significant challenges in providing for Eddy and other children in the home. Their income, primarily from peasantry farming, is limited due to poor yields caused by bad weather and pests. These financial difficulties have also hindered Eddy from receiving proper treatment for his persistent cough, which remains a source of concern.
