Jonathan, a four-year-old boy in top class kindergarten, lives in a rural village in Uganda with his peasant farmer parents. Despite their meager resources, which make it difficult to meet the family’s basic needs, including education, Jonathan excels academically. His remarkable performance has given his parents hope for a brighter future. However, the family’s financial struggles often result in Jonathan being sent home from school due to unpaid fees. Despite these challenges, Jonathan continues to thrive in his studies, showing resilience and determination amid the hardships his family faces.
