Junior, an 10-year-old boy in third grade, lives with his maternal grandmother while both his parents remain alive. His grandmother, a peasant farmer, works hard to provide for the family but faces financial challenges due to limited farming resources and poor yields caused by bad weather. Junior’s parents also assist when possible, but the family struggles to meet basic needs. Despite these hardships, Junior performs well academically and aspires to become an engineer to support his family.
