Micah, a three-year-old boy, lives with both his parents, who are peasant farmers struggling to provide for their large family of school-age children. Despite their efforts, the parents face significant financial challenges in meeting the family's basic needs, education expenses, and healthcare costs. Micah and some of his siblings suffer from sickle cell disease, requiring constant medical attention—an expense beyond the family's means. Micah’s father works part-time as a primary school teacher in a local private school to supplement their income, but his earnings remain insufficient due to low pay. These financial constraints have made it difficult for the family to build a proper house, forcing them to live in unfavorable conditions.
