Melessi lives with her mother, who is a single and peasant parent. her mother struggles to provide for the family needs and education needs as well. Melessi is passionate about education and desires to achieve her dream of being a doctor, however she suffers from ulcers due to starving at school the whole day without food. this has greatly affected her health.
