Ten-year-old John lives with his single mother and siblings after his father remarried and moved away. His mother, a peasant farmer, finds it difficult to make ends meet due to her limited earnings. These financial struggles prevent John from accessing proper treatment for his persistent nosebleeds and disrupt his education, as he is often sent home due to unpaid school fees. With no help from his father, John’s family faces continuous challenges. John's dream is to become a teacher so as to support both his family and the community.
