Edwin, a 9-year-old boy, lives with his maternal grandmother after his parents separated. His grandmother, a peasant farmer, also works as a casual laborer on other people’s farms to earn a meager income. Edwin has a heart condition and has undergone several successful surgeries. Despite his health challenges, Edwin is determined to become a pilot to support his family. His school performance has been commendable, though his grandmother struggles to afford his school fees and costly medical expenses.
