Eight-year-old Calista lives with his paternal grandparent, who is his father’s aunt. She works as a peasant farmer but struggles with limited income, which makes it difficult to support the basic needs of the household and fund education. Calista’s parents, also peasant farmers, send occasional support but face financial challenges caused by low yields due to poor weather. Despite these difficulties, Calista excels in his Grade Three class and remains a dedicated student.
