Faruk, a nine-year-old boy in third grade, dreams of becoming a lawyer one day. He lives with his stepfather after his mother remarried, following the death of his biological father. His mother works in another city and occasionally visits the family while providing financial support. Despite her contributions, Faruk’s family faces significant challenges. His stepfather, a peasant farmer, struggles to meet the basic needs and educational demands of the large household due to limited resources from farming. Faruk’s frequent malaria requires urgent medical attention, but financial constraints make proper treatment difficult to afford, leaving his family overwhelmed by these hardships.
