Michael, a six-year-old boy in top class kindergarten, lives with his father and stepmother after his biological parents separated. His father remarried, placing Michael under the care of his stepmother. Despite their dedication and hard work as peasant farmers, Michael’s parents face ongoing financial challenges. The limited resources they earn from farming are insufficient to meet the needs of their family, making it difficult to provide for Michael and his siblings effectively.
